Losing Weight with Limited Space

I was pretty fat a year ago, but I'm not really that fat anymore. I'd been thinking about starting to workout for a few months already at that time, really ever since I mistook myself for a random obese uncle in a Christmas family video.

Here's the problem: I don't have a garage or basement, much less a workout room. As a recent college grad, I live in a pretty minuscule studio apartment. This really limits what I can get in terms of exercise equipment. A stationary bike would have blocked the closet, a treadmill would have made the kitchen essentially inaccessible, and those bowflex things they have late night commercials for would have taken up about a fifth of my floor space.

As it turns out, weight benches are pretty compact. Mine fits pretty neatly between my desk and bed. They're also cheap as anything; I got mine off craigslist for thirty bucks, but you could probably pick one up at Walmart for not much more. Here's the kicker: they're just about the best type of equipment you can buy to round out your circuit training, since you can do your aerobic exercise outdoors. All in all, if you're going to buy one piece of exercise equipment, you should probably get a weight bench.
